Testimony of the Month
I was privileged to be born in a Christian home. My Father was a church of God minister, who was killed in an accident when I was 5 years of age. My mother was committed to keeping on serving the Lord, so I was busy in every activity at the church. At an early age I asked the Lord to come into my heart and take care of Mom and I. Both Dad and Mom were musically inclined, so I was able to start playing the piano at the age of 9 or 10. I continued doing this in whatever church we were in. I thank God for what little talent He gave me.
I married Charles Stout in 1947, and we were both working in the church and enjoying life. Then for some reason he turned his back on God. Several years later he rededicated his life to the Lord, and from then on we were a complete family. Much sickness came into our lives, but we accepted them. Many times we said we had opportunities to witness for our Lord, which we would not have had, if not for the sickness.
God took care of us; all we had to do was ask, and what was needed was supplied. God gave us what we needed, not what me might have desired each time. Our family thanked Jesus when He took Charles home, where he now has no more pain. There again, He answered our prayers.
After Charles went home, I prayed for another Christian husband, as I did not wish to live the rest of my life alone. As most of you know, God answered my prayer. Speed Wetherell and I were married almost 2 years ago. We pray our Lord to allow us to continue to be a witness for Him!
GOD IS GOOD!! Do not wait to ask Him in your heart, if you have not done so. He will be coming back for us SOON, and take His children to Heaven with Him.
May God Bless you all!!
