Testimony of the Month

"My Walk with the Lord"

I started walking with the Lord in 3rd grade.  I attended Awana then on a regular basis.  A man by the name of Mike Young led me to the Lord and from then on I wanted to learn more about Him.  I learned critical bible verses in Awana like, Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God."  I've tried to walk with the Lord and hopefully it shows in my life.  When I start to stumble, I remember Romans 3:23.

Since I joined Boiling Springs Church 5-6 years ago, the church has made me feel like I belong to a family.  I have never got this feeling from anywhere else in my walk.  My family and I are dedicated to this church in everyway possible from my husband being a Deacon to my leading the Kids Klub.  The Kids Klub has allowed me to reach out to the children, while gaining more knowledge about the bible for myself.

The teachings have made me examine my own life and how I can become a better wife, mom, and Christian.  Hopefully people see this in me; I owe God for all of my blessings in my life and my continual growth to Boiling Springs.  It is important to retain our faith and trust in the Lord and remember every second is a blessing, John 8:12, "I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

Nicodemus was a teacher of the Lord, but he did not have complete faith in the Lord.  Jesus told him, "You must be born again."  Even though he was a teacher of the Jews, he missed a important teaching in the Old Testament.  In the end Nicodemus showed his love for Jesus at the burial.  Joseph and Nicodemus too spices and lovingly wrapped Jesus's body.  The religious leader that came to Jesus secretly at night, openly showed his love for Him.

Sincerely,

Mary Lutterall
