"My Life at BSC"

I first started attending BSC in the fall of 1979 as a guest of my girlfriend, who later became my wife.  I had come from a small church in Bethany, IL that had a good music program - or so I thought - until I heard all the talented people who sang at BSC.  Candy Zinn and Marianne Trimmer would sing in a trio with my wife (I sure would like to hear them again).  Cindy and I got married in July 1980, a few months after I transferred my membership to BSC.  To this day, I have never been in a church with as many talented musicians as there are at BSC.  I have never, ever enjoyed worship at any other church than I have here.  It would be my wish that every church would have the combination of Bible-based service, doctrine, preaching and musical worship.  I have been involved with this church over half of my life.  I have never seen the opportunities more poised for growth than at the present time.  It is my hope and belief that the young married couples and families we have coming to church will move this church in a positive direction for future growth.  Our church has a proud and prolific history and I have no doubt with proper encouragement and support that this generation will achieve things through BSC that we can only dream about.

The Holy Spirit was present on my first Sunday visit with Cindy and when I see people at the alter, being baptized, rededications and a willingness among our newer members to lead; I know what they are feeling and believing also.  I was in the same position almost thirty years ago.  If the Lord is willing, I will try to help those younger folks as I feel I was helped by those who have gone before me.  Our future is bright and we have a Pastor who is wiling to do all that he can to see the church reach souls in need.  Thank you Keith and Diane for continuing and expanding the ministry of BSC.  Thank you also to all who have prayed over the years for my family.  I truly do not know where I or my family would be today if it were not for the presence of the Lord and Boiling Springs Church of God.

Don't ever get discouraged, don't ever lose hope; for there are friends here at BSC who will help you in your time of need.  Our congregation is a family and will be your family too, once you come and see for yourself.  I can't wait to see what the Lord has in mind for BSC in the coming years for it has been my pleasure to worship the Lord at BSC all these years.  Thank you again....I will see you in Heaven some day.
